Sky looked out the window. Dusk was falling. She said "What do you usually do around here?" //Sorry for the short post- //

[Shyla:]
"Read, draw, work on my maps..." she ticked the things off her fingers. "Occasionally, I go to the village to collect supplies, but I usually stay down here."

Skye nodded. "What books do you have?" She loved to read. When's the last time I had a chance? She wondered. [/i]Not for at least three months.[/i] Sky decided, then looked at Shyla, waiting for ther answer.

[Shyla:]
"Different classics and adventure novels. There over the fireplace mantle." I pointed to my dusty collection of books.

Sky walked over to the fireplace, trailing her finger over the dusty books. She selected one, and sat down right by the fireplace, and opened it.

Sky glanced over at the map. "That's really good." She said, studying it. "Do you draw maps a lot?"

"Your job?" Sky sounded interested. "That's really cool." She pushed her hair away from her face. Explorer, huh? I wouldn't have pictured her doing anything like that. Sky thought, still looking at the map.

[Shyla:]
I went back to work. The heat from the fire kept the room nice and warm from the frigid air outside, but after moments of feverishly drawing, researching, and redrawing, I had to wipe sweat off my brow.
