[Shyla:]
I nodded quickly. Without thinking, I began to transform. Large brown wings erupted from my back. I'm such a show off.

Sky quickly rolled into her robin form, jumping back from a swipe belonging to an invisible hand. She took off, hovering a few feet in the air.

[Shyla:]
I didn't fully transform, but flapped my large moth wings, which whippd up great gusts of wind. I took off into the air.

Sky tilted her head, trying to tell Shyla to head back toward the trees. Her dark blue eyes looked half determined, half afraid.

[Shyla:]
I saw the slight tilt of Sky's head. Adjusting my wings slightly, I flew towards the trees. That's when an arrow appeared out of nowhere and pierced my wing. I let out a screech and plummeted towards the ground.

Sky gave a loud twirp, and dove toward the ground, calculating in her head where the arrow had come from. She heard a twang, and moved out of the way a second before another arrow appeared.

[Shyla:]
I was half-unconscious by the time I hit the ground. My wing was crumpled under me. I could distantly feel blood streaming down my forehead from where it hit a sharp rock.

Sky demorphed {hmmm...what else can i say?} until only her wings were left. "Shyla!" She shrieked, landind next to the crumpled girl. She struggled to pick her up, then had a shaky takeoff. Once in the air, Sky contemplated on where she could go. She said she lived in the village up there. She thought. That's where I'll go first. So Sky headed toward the hill.

[Shyla:]
I felt myself lifted off the ground and moving through the air. Taking a deep breath, I demorphed my wings to make me lighter. The pain in my wing migrated to my arm and made me want to throw up.

Sky gratefully noticed Shyla changing back. She sped up, hoping to get Shyla medical help.

[Shyla:]
i bit my lip to keep from crying out at the pain that was coursing through my arm. My normally neat hair was scattered around my face, whipping around and making my face itch.

Sky avoided looking at Shyla's arm, not being good with injuries. She was also getting tired, she didn't know how much longer she could fly.

[Shyla:]
I opened my eyes, which had been tightened shut with pain and looked down. "There, that hut down there," I grunted. I pointed with my good arm to a a small wooden hut with a secure straw roof, hidden among many tall birch trees.

Sky swooped down silently, and touched down right by the front door. She carefully opened it, and tread softly in. I hope they didn't follow us here.

[Shyla:]
I got shakily to my feet and walked across the hut to the sink. I ran the tap over my arm, trying to ease some of the pain and swelling. I breathed a sigh of relief as the icey bliss of the water streamed over my arm. I looked around my hut and looked over at Sky. "They can't find us here. I use my wind element to make it untraceble by scent and the birch trees hide it from sight or sound.
My hut wasn't exactly large. In fact, it was a kitchen, living room, and bedroom all in one. There were no hallways and only one window, covered in cobweb that I was too lazy to clean off. A few shirts were strewn over the bed and random maps and sketches were scattered over the kitchen table. My home was truly a mess.
