"Welcome," I said lightly. I sat down on my bed and pulled out an unfinished map. It was a map of the rumored Imperial tunnels that I'd heard about. It was just an image of how I thought the Imperial tunnels looked like and where they were.

Sky wandered over to where Shyla was sitting. "What's that?" She asked, praying her voice wouldn't crack and reveal that she was still upset. "It looks like..tunnels."

I nodded. "They are tunnels," I said. "There are rumors about a group called the Imperial. They say there are tunnels scattered across the kingdoms, even under the sea."

Sky froze at the word Imperial. "They aren't rumors." She said quietly, not looking at Shyla.

Sky frowned at her nails. "They're dangerous." She said. She didn't add that they'd killed her parents. It was by far not an accident, either.

"I'm sure but their ability to build tunnels and an entire kingdom without any notice is admireable." Her eyes glazed over at the thought.

Sky shrugged. "If they did it for good. They just want to do it for their own evil purposes." She said, her eyes slightly sad.

"you must've dealt with them in the past. That's got to be why you know so much about them and are not fascinated by the whole thing," she said thoughtfully.

My eyebrows raised with curiosity, but I let the subject go. I bowed my head and went back to work on my map.

Sky looked down at the map, her fingers twitching. She wanted to rip it, to erase every memory of that day. She gripped her fingers tightly together, and took a deep breath.

After adding my chicken scratch signature to the map, I tucked it safely under my bed. I looked at Sky and tell that she was angry. There was nothing I could say or do to change it, though.
