Sky looked strangly at Shyla. "There really isn't anything that strange about you. But, that could be me. I"ve lived on Outcast Island for years, and there were tons of people stranger than you." At least you can go places without worrying someone will recognize you.

I looked at her blankly. "You are the first person to ever look at me and not flinch or remark on my scar. Even King Boron still can't look straight at me. I don't even know how i ended up like this so it can't be my fault anyway," she ended bitterly.

Sky smiled. "Well, I haven't really thought about my past for a while. Seeing you made me remember the day I left." Her blue eyes were watery. I can't believe I'm telling a total stranger this.

"Just some other kingdom." Sky said. She looked down at her hands. "I left years ago. People bossed me around too much." She said fiercely.

"'M'hm," I said absentmindedly, still scribbling away at the paper in my sketch book. I brushed my hair out of my face as I concentrated.

"What are you drawing?" Sky asked, staring down at the paper. Her blue eyes looked intensly at it.

I leaned back a little to show her my finished sketch. It was a pcture of her, finely shaded, sticking her tongue out at a roup of faceless people. I grinned slightly.

Sky laughed. It was probably the first time she'd laughed out loud for ages. "I like it." She said. "I just wish I'd had the nerve to do that when I left. I would have been sent to the dungeon for ages." She said.

I laughed, too. The picture was priceless and looked good, even though it only took about five minutes. "If you go sent to the dungeon, you could do it whenever wanted to," I said.
