Saturn:
Why did I have to be something so weak? A bird's weak, but it can fly away. Kitten's are only good for...being cute and being eaten. Which looked like it was about to happen. Suddenly I had an idea. I let the fur come, rippling over my body. My fingers changed to claws, and my teeth became pointed. But I didn't let myself shrink yet. I still looked enough human to not be able to fully tell what I was.

Rairi ignored the fact that the other girl was changing. Her form was only a pup but it would probably still be stronger than the other's. Her fingernails became thick and blunt as claws grew in their place. Her hair swirled around her growing fur, forming the ever-familar red markings.

I took a deep breath. I'd seen the other girl's form, so I had that advantage. At least until I finished morphing. Most of my fur had grown in, but you still couldn't see distinctive stripes. I still didn't let myself shrink. My teeth were nearly all pointy and sharp. My hair had shrunk at least four inches, making it just beneath my ears. It's blonde was bleaching out. Starting from the roots, it was gray. The tips were still blonde, though.

Rairi's canine teeth grew longer and longer until they poked out of the bottom of her mouth. Her clothes molded into fur and blended with the swirls that now made up her pelt. She looked like a living werewolf.

Saturn:
I looked around. A coupled hundred yards away, there were a few rocks close together. I would certainly be able to fit through as a cat, but almose positive neither me or her would make it as a human. The wolf, definetly not. She was still in half morph. I thanked whoever it was that gave me speed, and took off, the dust rolling up in clouds behind me. I was three quarters of the way to the rocks when I let myself totally shrink to kitten. I sprinted as fast as I could the last 50 yards. This was probably a life or death situation.

Rairi snarled and completed her transformation. "Little bas***d!" she screamed in wolf-talk, but all the kitten heard was a mournful howl. She chased after the kitten, her paws sending up clouds of dust.

Saturn:
The wolf was gaining. 25 yards to go. Please oh please let me make it out of this alive. With one final leap, I was next to the rocks. I crouched down, and skidded in between them. I crawled as far away from the hole as I could, waiting for the wolf. In a strange moment I started to laugh. This felt so unrealistic, so different from the sheltered life I used to have. Whoever would have guessed that I would ever be in this situation.

Rairi skidded to a halt in front of the rocks. She fished around in the rocks, trying to hit the kitten. A low growl uttered in her voice as she got more and more frustrated.

Saturn:
I shivered involuntarily. The wolf was close enough for me to feel the wind as she swiped around, trying to reach me. I wondered how long I would last in here. It wasn't until I looked behind me that I noticed there was something behind me. Or rather, a lack of something. It was a hole. It seemed like a tunnel. I wondered if I should chance it, and go through. I gave a jump backward as one of the wolf's claws snagged my fur. I'll wait until she calms down. I finally decided.

"Rah!" Rairi howled furiously. She stole her paw from the hole and began throwing herselfat the rocks, trying to make them move or break.

Saturn:
Maybe I should just leave now... I took a step back. "Can't we talk about this?" I mewed, my voice coming out ridiculoustly high, even for a cat. One of the rocks cracked, and I yelped. I scooted back some more. I wonder how long it will take for her to kill me..

Rairi kept slamming herself at the rocks. All human consciousness was gone. She was in a blind wolf rage. Snarls and growls escaped her throat making her sound ven more deadly.

Saturn:
I knew in that instant that anything human was gone. The girl had turned total wolf. And I wasn't sure if I was going to live through it. I back up into the darkness of the tunnel. I was debating which was worse-death by wolf or unknown tunnel?

Rairi's blunt claws began scrabbling at the rocks, creating a screechy, teeth-grinding noise. She howled loudly.

Saturn:
Definetly death by tunnel. I back up some more. I wonder how long it will take for her to get in here. How much of of a head start would I need? I could here her claws scraping on the rocks, and I wanted to crouch down and put my paws over my ears.
