On the way home..

[Ginger]

The Cardinal maid nodded. She pointed to somebody near by saying softly to him"Roger! I think you should show this new maiden to her chambors... The Queen Lila brought her here from the Outcast Islands." The man nodded and walked over. He toke the girls hand and led her away. He had a caught of fancy and looked ready for any ball.

[Azen]

[Elsie]

I followed the Roger guy, eventually taking my hand from his. Weirdo. Now, I thought I'd been pretty lenient about this whole kidnapping thing up til now, but now I was getting pretty irritated. And it was just to bad for him that this Roger guy happened to be the only one around. I glared at his back all the way there.

Once we finally got to my room, I thanked the crow hastily and shut the door. I was a pretty nice room; pretty spacious and with a nice view. ALthough who would want a view of just a bunch of trees is beyond me. I sat down on the bed (it was high up, so my feet didn't touch the floor) and crossed my arms and planned to sulk for a while. I think I was entitled to the right.

[Ginger]

Just then a very very young blue parrot flew thourgh the window.. It was out of breath and kept asking"Do you know a place to hide? Do you know a place to hide......?" It was very eneergized and looked around real quick. It was easy to tell this bird was Lila's for it had the same markings. Only diffrence was the feathers they were lined with black. Its tail was also lined with black giving it a much easier way to hide. It jumped around and around still heaving breathes.

[Elsie]

I jumped back from the nird, scared because she looked so much like Lila. But my upbringing wouldn't let me refuse to help, especially someone who looked more freaked out than I was. But I was unfamiliar with this room, so I told her to do what Sevren always did. "You should be able to hide under the bed. It's high enough that you should fit. What are you trying to hide from?" Maybe I wanted to be on the side of whatever was pursuing her rather than on her side.

[Ginger]

The little parrot quickly flew over to the bed and under the blanket syaing softly still heaving breathes."I'm hiding from the evil nestlings... They are always wanting to mess and say, oh mighty princess... Hold are feathers for luck.. and blah blah blah... Then their are these maids always following me around bothering.. I tell them to leave me alone but they come right back like lab rats. I hate red cardinals... The hatchlings are just as bad. They say I am not old enough to be flying around causing toruble. Heres what I say.." The parrot started transforming into a blue lion with wings. The wings looked bigger compare the the body. The little now transformed into something bigger finished"I am so much better than you.. I could eat you if I wanted to meow.." The little cub parrot transformed back into a young bird again.

[Azen]

[Elsie]

"Well jeez, I can't understand why. You look like a freak to me." Yeah, even in my eyes that was pretty insensitive. But, I was mad, and tired, and really homesick. Plus, apart from the freaky lion thing, this girl looked a lot like Lila. And as I said before, it was just too bad for her that she happened to be the only one around.

Normally I was embarassed when my temper went off like this, but in my eyes it was better than crawling back into a shell. And this girl freaked me out. So she was the princess of this place? Well, I guess her arrogance fit the part. Now I wanted out of here even more.

[Ginger]

The young parrot's wings dropped and she suddenly lost all her energy.."Okay.. Well I'll go.. Bye I guess.." With that she transformed into a human and started to walk out the door. She had long blue hair it was tangled and loked like a girl's. She had a small taria that made some of her hair up. Her dress was both short and long. The skirt was to her knees while the cape like connected to the skirt went out covering the back legs. She walked out with a sad face saying silently over and over"Freak?" She walked slower and slower as she reached the near by door.

[Azen]

[Elsie]

I sighed. Guess I was a little too harsh. "Look, sorry. But I've just traveled I don't know how many miles away from my home and I haven't really been given any good reasons why." I crossed my arms and leaned against the bedpost. "But that's not your fault. I should learn to control myself better. So...if you're the princess of this place, I guess that means you're lila's daughter?" I was anxious to change the subject.

[Ginger]

She turned backn around knowing her sad childish face worked. She answered carefully unsure if the girl was going to explode"Well... Yes she is my Momma.. But she hates it when I say that.. For she is also Queen of the Imerprail.. Oopsy.. I never said that." She folowed her answer with her hand slamming over her mouth and she acted like she did something wrong.. She turned bright red and walked over the bed and slammed her face into the pillow hoping that it would keep her big mouth shut.

[Elsie]

"Jeez, this girl acts like a hatchling," I whispered, hope she wouldn't hear. If the future of this bird kingdom was in the hands of this girl, now I really wanted to leave.

"Imperial? Never heard of it." Must be some big secret inland thing. "Listen, is there any way you can get me back to my island? It would really mean the world to me if you did. I didn't really think this girl could help me, and if so I doubted that she would, but I had to try.

[Ginger]

The girl looked at her and shook her head in a no. She replyed"I cannot and I'll take my leave... For I am sorry.. PLus I actually wanted to skip my lessons but now that I know mother is back I have to go..." The girl transformed into a blue Griffin again and said while flying back out the window"My name is Princess Grace.. My mother left for a while I guess because of you.." With that said water sprouted around her feathers and everywhere causing a misty area outside as she disappeared.

"Hey that water thing is freaking me out!" I yelled at no one in particular. I watched Princess Grace leave and suddenly felt really tired. Maybe the effects of the journey were finally getting to me. "Aw well. Sevren, I wish you were here..." Since I was talking to nothing, I thought I might as well speak to nobody too. I crawled into the large bed. It was a lot different from a hammock, and a whole lot emptier too. I hoped my exhaustion would let me have a dreamless sleep.

I awoke the next morning freaking out at first because I wasn't home (again), but the memories came back a lot more quickly today. I jumped down from the bed, not changing out of my other clothes, even though I had traveled and slept in them. I figured I'd do some exploring while no one was here to stop me and I wandered down the steps and down a hallway that I could see led to a lrge room.

[Ginger]

[Ginger]

Well I can't post..... I mean what am I to say? A maid bang into her? Oh yeah that would work...//

A small childish looking Cardinal maid was fluttering near by holding a metal plate full of glass cups. SHe flew right into Elsie dropping and breaking everything. It was just plain terrible. She quickly changed to human form cursing herself for making a huge mess. She apologized and binding over and over. For she was afraid that Elsie would get mad for this maid alwyas got in trouble for her clumsy mess.
