Personality:Nevermore is a very strange individual. Due to a traumatic incident in his youth his psyche was shattered into two different parts. One side is a very fun loving and innocent child who wants nothing more than to make friends and explore the large world. The other is vicious young man whose only desire is to watch the world burn to the ground. Sadly neither of these personalities is the true one and both answer to the name of Nevermore. The darker personality often torments the other through nightmares in an attempt to drive him into insanity. Luckily the more naïve personality has a very strong sense of justice and hope and has not given up yet, but as time goes on the boy’s hope will surely falter and the world will have to face the true personality of Nevermore.

Description:In his human form Nevermore is an average sized boy with no truly strange features. He has medium length raven black hair that falls past his chin. The back has been cut short and is usually a mess. His bangs are shorter than the sides ending at the tip of his nose. Beneath this curtain of black hair are silver eyes that seem to be filled with many emotions. Because he lives by himself he is usually covered in dirt and his clothes are usually tattered to the point of being unusable.
Because he has to carry everything he owns with him Nevermore is usually dressed in several dirty layers of clothing. Typically he wears a dirty t-shirt with many holes in it. Over that is a hooded sweatshirt covered in dirt, its original color lost in the filth, and the again over that is a large black jacket with many pockets containing an assortment of objects that are useful to Nevermore. On his hands are a pair of fingerless gloves which are a murky green color. He wears blue jeans with many rips caused from many falls. He wears a large pair of boots that black combat boots covered in mud. Concealed within the right boot is a small combat knife.
While in his animal form Nevermore is a larger than average raven. While naturally ravens do not have silver eyes Nevermore does. He appears much better kempt as an animal than his human form and he will often use this form to help him steal clothes from clothes lines. He is unable to speak in the human tongue in this form.
In his Demi-form Nevermore sprouts large wings from his back. Featers grow under his clothes and a large feathery tail appears near his behind. His feet and hands develop small powerful talons that can be used for many things. While in this form Nevermore is able to speak human tongue but is also able to fly, not quite as fast or as far as his animal form though.
History: Nevermore was born into a loving family. His father was a soldier for the Bird Kingdom while his mother was a bar maid. During his childhood he often spent his time with his mother in the bar listening to the tales of flying aces. Nevermore dreamed of becoming a soldier like his father. When Nevermore was six years old his father was killed in a duel. A man had struck his mother and eventually his father challenged him. While his father fought honorably the other man threw sand into his eyes and plunged a knife into his father’s heart.
During the night of his father’s death Nevermore feel into a fit of deep depression. As he slept he encountered a strange woman. The woman led him to a very strange place and told him he would be able to get revenge if he did as she told him. Nevermore didn’t understand and quickly awoke from the dream. A few months passed and Nevermore’s sister Amity was born. As Nevermore’s mother worked constantly to support her children Nevermore took care of his sister. During the day he cared for her and at night he dreamed of the woman. This continued for seven years until the boy say the man who had killed his father. Now thirteen Nevermore had the dream one final time. This time Nevermore agreed to the woman’s demand. When Nevermore awoke he felt a new power within him.
He tracked down the man and summoned a beast of darkness. The beast tore him apart and Nevermore laughed as he watched. However the bar keeper who owned the bar his mother worked at saw the entire thing. He led the village to Nevermore’s house and the torched it calling Nevermore a beast. His mother quickly took her children to safety and when she returned to the house for their father’s ashes she was trapped in the blaze. Nevermore watched as the house collapsed and let out a blood curdling screech. With his new found powers he blotted out the sun and decimated all who stood in his way. After that the boy passed out.
A week later he awoke near the bridge to the Sea Kingdom. He didn’t remember anything about his Nightmare powers but soon discovered he now had ice powers, another ability from his Nightmare powers. Nevermore took off towards a nearby village where he lived on the streets stealing to get by. Every night when he went to sleep he would have terrible nightmares and when he awoke he would be in a different spot. Nevermore continues to live like this to this day running from Nightmares but the Nightmare that is his other half runs towards them awaiting the power that should be his and at night he takes over the body and attempts to gather whatever power he can obtain.
