Kaia walked to the edge of the desert. Did she want to enter the blinding desert? Yes, as long as she didn't transform into her wolf form that wasn't made for heat. She took a step forward onto the sand. It burnt her bare feet. She'd abandoned her shoes long ago. Kaia winced as the extreme heat of the sand reached her feet. She took her foot away from the sand and sat on the rock at the edge. She tore two pieces from her robes and wrapped her feet with them. Kaia stepped back onto the sand. It wasn't as bad with her feet wrapped in the cloth. She took a few steps forward. The desert stretched in every direction as far as her eyes could see.
It wasn't usual that she came across this area. She was here on a journey this time. Kaia only knew she had to head away from the Reptilian border. But which direction was away? She chose the direction she thought was correct and began that way. It was a slow journey since the uncovered areas of her feet were either burned by the sun or the sand. And the wind blew sand on her back or into her face. She bent her head against the wind and continued on.

A young cub that was bright yellow ran across the sand with ease. The hea t didn't bother her and so their she was running through it happily. She liked that the pretty sand fell under her padding. She went up to some one who looked lost and thirsty. She asked"Umm.. You need help?" She could tell it was a human. But she thought of how the Reptiles land was near by and assumed leader form as though she born into leadership and royalty.

"I do. A lot. I need to know which way leads away from the reptilian border." she replied to the little animal. Maybe she was a part human like herself. She would have changed into her Tundra wolf by now if she wasn't in such a warm area. As if to show that she part human she shifted into a wolf for a few minutes and back into a human again. She didn't like staying in her animal form with her thick fur for a long time. It was relieving for her to be back in her human form in her robes instead of the thick black fur again.

The lion got even more excited and happy. She replyed instantly"Your a mammal.. You don't belong in no desert... BEsides you've entered the Mammal Kingdom so your safe unless the snakes really want a bite out of you but they fear us." Following the little lion got in a posture making her self look dangerious which wwas hard being a cub. But it was defiantly incredibly cute.

"I know that I don't elong in a desert. I got lost. Storm." she replied sharply. She felt like she was five and being disciplined for doing something wrong, or being kicked from a home. She looked around herself. She only saw sand for a long time in front of her and to the left and right. "If only the climate was cooler, I could transform and run," she sighed longing to be somewhere like the arctic and run through the cold feeling only a small wind through her thick coat. She snapped out of her daydream but held onto the cold feeling so that she wouldn't get to hot. Oh how she wished she hadn't lost that pouch that could hold water. It would have been very useful right now.

The cub smiled and answered"Well the Cave castle is cold.. It is very close to here.. I could take you their it is cold enough for Artic foxes but warm enough for lions." She started prancing away occasionally looking behind her to check if the girl was following. She bounced every where and never sat still.

Well, let's go then! she said breaking into a run, although it wasn't nearly as fast as if she was in her wolf form. Her robes weren't slowing her down, although the desert sand on her feet did have an affect. The bottoms of her feet hurt and felt like the were on fire. If only the could reach the Cave Castle soon. The cold would be much better for her than the heat. She wasn't built for heat. She was more of a cold weather person. And she had no clue how she'd gotten to the desert. Of courser she did tend to wander occasionally.

The Cub grew blue wings and toke flight. She shouted over the heat of the desert's winds"Hurry up it should be about 15feet..." So with that they made there way to Cave Castle.
