//Sorry! I wasn't aware it was my turn!//
[Elsie]
I shook my head. "I don't mind at all," I said, laughing lightly at Anar's worshipful behavior. He almost reminded of....
My eyes narrowed, and I pulled my knees up to my chest and hugged them, almost overcome with nostalgia. He almost reminded me of Sevren, with that happy-go-lucky demeanor. THere was probably some considerable age difference between the two, but still. And Carah...she kind of reminded me of Azen. Capable of doing all these great things but wanting no recognition for them. I wondered if her past was as troubled as Azen's.
I almost didn't notice the lone tear that trickled down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away, hoping they didn't notice.

((It's ok ^^))
Carah nodded. "Very well." She said with a small smile.
Anar noticed her wipe something from her face. "Whats wrong?" He said tilting his head slightly.
"Come along you two." Carah said with a small smile and started to walk through some thick grass.
Anar looked back at Carah then down at the girl. "Well we better get going." He said with a small smile and held out a hand to her. "Oh and by the way I'm Anar!" He said with a big grin.

I smiled fondly at the younger boy but retained most of my focus on getting up. Man what I'd give to go jump in the......but the girl said the ocean was far from here. No point on dwelling on useless things, at least that's what I kept trying to tell myself. Exhaustion was making my brain do odd things.
When Carah said walk I was so grateful I almost cried. I just couldn't fly anymore. Then I realized what that must mean: Carah wasn't a bird. On the island it wouldn't have mattered, but from what I'd seen, things were different on the mainland. However, I doubted that there was much that a blind girl and a kid could do to harm me any further than I already was. I stayed as alert as my stamina would let me though; I didn't doubt for a minute what Anar had said about her being a fighter.
After walking a little ways my head started to lose even more snese. Twice I nearly fell. I kept on though; I didn't feel safe in a foreign land without a roof over my head. One time the wind kicked up and blew some of Carah's hair around, and I saw faint marks on her skin. THe combination of that and her white hair made my fevered brain jump to conclusions. My face lit up and my heart soared. "Azen how did you- I stopped abruptly when I realzed my mistake. I looked to the ground, abashed. "I'm sorry. I'm just not thinking clearly" My thought went back to my home. Would I ever see the real Azen again?

Anar gave the girl a big smile when he helped her up. Then he started to follow after Carah, but he stayed close to the girl to keep her company.
"Hm?" Carah turned her head slightly to the side. "What is it my dear?" She asked slowing her pace down a bit so that she was a little closer to Elsie.
Anar looked at the girl in confusion. "Who's Azen?" He asked softly. His big eyes searched the girl's face for some sort of answer.

I looked ponderingly at Anar's wide eyes for a moment, thinking of some way I could possibly describe Azen. I had no idea how to describe him; he's one of those people you had to meet. Plus, I didn't know if these two reported to anybody like falcons, and I really didn't want Azen to get in trouble. But, he was really strong, so would it matter anyway? Ugh, all this mulling over was not helping my brain. "He's just a guy, a nice guy, that lives where I'm from. He's really strong, but also really kind to everybody. A lot of people look up to him, and pretty much follow his example. I grimaced, remembering the last time I'd seen Azen, fighting Lila on the beach. And Sev, promising he'd come find me. "I really miss him, along with a bunch of other people" I murmered without thinking.
