“At last…I have returned.” Boomed a deep voice from the throne room. A long flowing red cloak covered the stairs that lead to the thrones. At the top of the stairs a large man in deep red velvet stood with his arms out to the ceiling. Long red hair fell over his shoulders and draped over the wine red velvet. He spun around and looked at his throne room. A twisted smile was spread across his face and his dark brown eyes flashed a deep red. It was the king of the Imerial’s…King Voren.

My flowing violet hair swished as I moved. Then I saw him. The king. My heart pounded, then stopped altogether. I dropped onto my knee and bowed my head. "King Voren," I whispered.

Voren had spotted someone walking into the large chamber and he smirked when they bowed. He looked the person over and realized who it was. "Ah...Kae..." He said softly. His eyes softened as he gazed at the beautiful woman before him. He glided down the steps with such grace he didn't seem to be walking at all. He walked up to Kae. "Rise Kae…it is not proper for a woman such as yourself to be on the floor.” He said smoothly in his deep voice.

I quickly rose to my feet, almost tripping in my haste. I noded my head foolishly before him. I must've looke like an idiot.

Voren watched her raise to her feet quickly almost falling over. He chuckled a placed to fingers under her chin. "Tell me Kae...what has my wife been doing while I've been gone?" He asked smoothly gaze into her eyes.

Voren's twisted smile stayed on his face as he watched Kae. "Do you know why?" He asked smoothly. His deep brown eyes flash a deep red as he spoke. Voren intended to find out why his Kingdom had gone down hill since his trip over seas.

"No sir," I said quietly, still not lookin at him. "I've continued my duties, but I haven't heard from the queen or any of the others." My heart kept skipping beats in his prescence. I was terrified.

Voren's eyes softened. "Kae...you are truly a loyal subject of mine..." He said smoothly. "Why has my wife not called for your talents?" He asked with interest. "You have a wonderful gift...it's sad to have it be wasted." His finger tips slightly grew warmer under Kae's chin as he spoke.

He smiled slightly and took his fingers away from her chin. "You sound surprised..." He said softly as he walked around her to look at one of the many statues that filled the room. His footsteps were light and soundless. "My wife Lila has no respect for people with elements such as yourself...my I take them in." He said smoothly as he ran his fingers over the marble black that held the statue of him.

My heart started beating as he walked away. But I was still in shock and could barely speak. Anywhere else I would've scoffed, but in the face of the king...it was too much.

Voren lightly ran his fingers over his name carved in the stone. "I do belive...my wife is jelious..." He said with a twisted smile. His deep red fair seemed to dance like a flickering flame. "Jealous of women such as yourself. You are an element that could easily hurt hers..." He said smoothly looking over at her with his dark brown eyes.

Voren's laugher boomed in the large room. "Kae my dear I now you would never do such a thing." He laughed as he headed back toward her. His motions were like the lion he was. "I'm saying she thinks your a threat..." He said smoothly.
