"We'd probably be better off going at dusk or nightfall; I don't think I could stand the heat." I was by no means gifted with direction, mostly because I never had to travel very far. It would be so much easier to get there by bird, but again, I didn't know any here.

I nodded; leaving at nightfall sounded a lot better than leaving right now. Plus, that would give us time to make sure we had food and stuff ['cause, y'know...I'm good at getting lost in the desert]. "Yeah, nightfall or dusk would work." I looked around, trying to spot who I was looking for. "Shunji might help. He's never been on great terms with me; actually, he probably hates me, but...he'd help get rid of me."

I sighed. This snake really liked beating himself up. I couldn't really tell any serpent from another here, so I just followed Jayden. THere was one boy with sandy hair that kind of stood out from the others. I wondered if he was this 'Shunji.' I got a few other looks from the serpents gathered around (quite of few of them women -_-) but ignored them as I silently followed JAyden.

Shunji looked up and asked"What is it? JAydn.." He thought darn him.. Why doesn't he go jump of a bridge.. Just because he is stronger than I am don't mean nothing.. Man why does he have to be better at everything? All because of his snake body.. Darn darn darn Him!!! Shunji looked up memorizing what they{Jaydn and Azen} were wearing..

As he looked me up and down, I couldn't help but feel like he was sizing me up or something. I tried not to shift uncomfortably, but I don't think I had much success. But the way he looked at me....it was weird. Either he was just sizing me up for a fight or he was...I tried to push the thought out of my head. I just stayed quiet and let Jaydn do the talking.

Jaydn brought up his arms and answered.."It appears on the west side.. But if your looking for trouble it won't ome up at all.. I would know I thought about pulling a prank.." With that he started to walk in the direction like he was going to lead them the way to it.

I tried to look Shunji in the eye, but found it was just too awkward. THat was weird...usually I tried to be pretty accepting but...no, too weird. "And...what side are we on?" THe other two probably thought I was an idiot, but hey, I'd never been here before.

I sighed; this wasn't going to be a very plesant trip if Shunji was going. I noticed how Azen wouldn't look Shunji in the eye and muttered, "He's not going to bite you."
I followed Shunji, not exactally thrilled he was coming with us.

"Believe me, that's one of the last things I'm worried about!" I hissed (not too literally) under my breath. THe coast sounded good to me, but it meant a lot less if I didn't have my windboard. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.
I was also none too excited when I saw that Shunji intended to go with us. Just great. If what he said about the bridge is true, we might never get across. But, at least we had a start now.

Shunji just turned and transformed.. He slithered away throw their legs... His snake face looked mad really mad. He was really grumpy.. As he slithered away he stuck out his forked toungue right behind Azen in a way to show how annoyed he was with Azen thinking. He just went back to the dancer's nest....

"Don't tell him I said this but he is one of the puniest snakes I've ever seen." That was completely untrue, the smallest snke I had probably ever seen would be Sevren, but I just had to knock down the ingrate a few notches. Besides, Jaydn didn't seem to like him anyway. "Just who was that guy? He wasn't really....you know...?" I still couldn't figure out why this bothered me so much. Maybe I was just feeling weird because everyone was stareing at my back.
